This weekend may well have brought feelings of difficulty around maintaining control over your life, and problems, obstacles, limitations, inhibitions and delays could have prompted feelings of insecurity. Difficult judgments and decisions may have forced you into awkward conversations and efforts to co-operate with others, which may have been stressful. Mechanical breakdowns, arguments and conflict may have all been present, forcing you to look at the amount of work or activity that you are currently involved in, and to take stock of your current situation.
Whilst the network, family or group of people that you are involved with is vital to you at the moment, it seems to be a two edged sword, for in many ways, you currently feel the need to be alone in order to gain a clearer perspective on what needs to be done. Managing your workload, whilst maintaining harmonious connections with friends and family is the order of the day, and although the option of running away may seem to be the most attractive, it may not actually be possible to do this. Looking within to sense the invisible path that lies before you is key to your next step. Following your inner light will guide you on the darkened path, and show you the way forward. This process will not be completed over night, but is something that urges you to find a balance, to break with the patterns from the past and give birth to a new emotional stability and strength.
The Eight of Wands, The Three of Vessels, The Hermit.
This month, The Daily Oracle will be devoted to my exploration of The Alchemical Tarot. Created by Artist and Scholar Robert Place. This deck envisions traditional tarot understandings within the wisdom of the alchemical tradition, and I have found it a very pleasing deck to work with. Providing interesting links between the more traditional interpretations of RW, and the energetic mandalas that I perceive within the Thoth system, I find this deck uncomplicated but also deeply insightful. The artwork is both peaceful and dynamic, and works to allowing the intuition to flow easily amongst the cards without the distraction that I have found in some other decks. Alchemy has long held a fascination for me, and I am very much enjoying my exploration of this particular deck, one that speaks with a gentle yet clear and commanding voice. Information on Robert Place, his work, and how to order this, or one of his many other tarot decks, can be found HERE.
