“Faerie King is the male aspect of faery consciousness, and this card represents the types of being who will play havoc with a human settlement or individual not because of territorial disputes, but out of sheer entertainment value on their part. Like the beings represented by the Goblin Queen, these faery beings do not have human values or emotions: they are the natural spirits of the land. They are the spirits of the forests, the valleys, and the moorlands. They can infuse a human with madness, or simply harass any human who stumbles upon their land.”
Considering all the indications that have been arriving in the readings, for working with the land, it seems that today, the importance of using a defined system of learning, or magical structure could be useful, if you are to use the energy of the land around you in a positive fashion. Haphazard involvement with energies that you do not fully understand, may remove far more than you might have intended from your life, and I feel that for anyone on any kind of magical path may need to heed the warning that lies in this reading. Not all magical schools or paths are necessarily right for the individual, and it may be important to reconsider the foundations that lie at the heart of your practice. On a more mundane level, trickster energy is flowing into your life, and, you will find that the strength and authenticity of your own personal structures will define the effect that this has on your life. If you have been holding onto things for the “feelgood factor”, expect their abrupt departure some time soon!
Quareia, the new school of magic for the 21st century, is a concept that was born out of conversations between adepts Josephine McCarthy and Frater Acher; two European magicians with solid magical reputations in their respective fields.
The course is spread over three sections: Apprentice, Initiate, and Adept. Each section has ten modules, and each module has eight lessons. Each of the three sections is approximately five hundred thousand words of original writing: it is the most extensive, in-depth, and intelligent up to date magical course that is currently available world wide.
The Quareia deck is not based upon any tarot system, but rather it draws upon the mythic, mystical and magical powers that underpin the magical systems that tarot eventually developed out of. It is based upon real inner realms, real inner contacts, beings and forces that the practitioner of magic is very likely to involve themselves with. The cards themselves can be used in many different ways, and besides using them in layouts, they can also be worked with in meditation and magic. The cards, which are inner contacts, spirit beings, places and powers can be worked with in a ritual, visionary or meditation setting in order to connect with those powers, or to bring the power into a ritual work space. LXXXI – The Quareia Magician’s Deck is a unique magical tool for 21st century magicians. LXXXI is a collaboration between magical artists Stuart Littlejohn and Cassandra Beanland, and magical adept Josephine McCarthy. All of the paintings are original works of art in oil, acrylic, or watercolor, and are the result of three years painting and collaboration.
