The Daily Oracle: Monday May 21st

The ample Cups contain the Water’s flow, for Cold unites disparate kinds as one.
With Wetness they respond and overrun and, yielding, fill the emptiness below. The Nine includes the center with the wheel: the Third Perfection, dawn of the ideal.

An insightful day to day, where you have the opportunity to gain an overview of an emotional situation, and to see where your dreams of fulfilment may have evaded you, through a certain immaturity; the gap between what you know you can achieve in a certain emotional situation, and what may have happened so far, is wide. Although pleasant and enjoyable, you know that operating on the surface level of physical satisfaction alone is no longer enough for you, and in a way, this is something that has been jogging at your awareness for some time. Today, you gain a clearer picture of what must be done next, and you are inspired by a vision of spiritual unity & emotional equality. You now know what you need to face within yourself, and although the full extent of the journey is as yet hidden, you are aware that trials must be under-taken if you are to gain the emotional fulfillment that you know is possible for you. What may have seemed to be unattainable for you in the past, may now be now seen as a miraculous possibility, if only you can find out how to get there.

This month, inspired by my three week exploration of historical sites in Ancient Mesopotamia, The Daily Oracle this month will be devoted to my exploration of The Mythic Tarot. Published in 1986 by Juliet Sharman-Burke and Liz Greene, the cards are drawn by Tricia Newell. I have loved the ancient greek myths since I was a child, and often use this deck to do readings when I am “stuck” with something for myself. I find the insight to be gentle and direct. The Verses that I have used for each post are the work of the gifted John Opsopaus, whose work can be found HERE

Header art work: Persephone & The Pomegranate by Kris Waldherr. You can read more about her work HERE

My name is Joanna Grant, I am an Astrologer, Tarot Reader and Writer, who lives on the Head Shot Fadebeautiful Beara Peninsula in the South West of Ireland. I can often be found at home, deep in arcane research, or practicing some new form of divination whilst burning the dinner! My children probably wish that I was “normal” but may well remember my eccentricities fondly when they come to face the challenges of their own paths. My long knowledge of Astrology leads and informs my practice, in offering guidance, empowerment and healing, helping others to lead a more authentic and magical life. You can read more about me here.
