The sharp-edged Swords divide the misty Air, whose Moisture lets them yield to outer form, but they divide and sever, for they’re Warm. With nimble strokes their edges split the hair. The Three goes forth, the difference to transcend; The First Perfection: middle, start and end.
After the highs of yesterday, the work actually begins, and in a painful way. The recognition that there is no avoidance of difficulty is a hurtful realisation in itself, and today you are challenged to recognise that the avoidance tactics that you may have employed in the past, have done nothing to help you actually process your experiences. Always operating from a point of justice and fairness, and detaching yourself from actually “feeling” what is happening, can only delay the integration that you desire, and keep you in a place of apparent “safety”. In this manner, you may feel that you are at a bit of a disadvantage, perhaps “way behind” where you feel that you “ought” to be. Rest assured that this is all part of the process, just one cycle on the ever decreasing spiral that we are on. Although in some ways you may feel as if you are still learning, in others, you are a master, so bear this in mind when you are struggling with the anything today. On some level you need to see that the delusion cannot continue, and that in order for healing to take place, the body must be broken so that the poison can escape. You have the energy however, to tackle this situation, and are ready to take on the challenge that this new realm of learning will present.
This month, inspired by my three week exploration of historical sites in Ancient Mesopotamia, The Daily Oracle this month will be devoted to my exploration of The Mythic Tarot. Published in 1986 by Juliet Sharman-Burke and Liz Greene, the cards are drawn by Tricia Newell. I have loved the ancient greek myths since I was a child, and often use this deck to do readings when I am “stuck” with something for myself. I find the insight to be gentle and direct. The Verses that I have used for each post are the work of the gifted John Opsopaus, whose work can be found HERE
Header art work: Persephone & The Pomegranate by Kris Waldherr. You can read more about her work HERE
My name is Joanna Grant, I am an Astrologer, Tarot Reader and Writer, who lives on the beautiful Beara Peninsula in the South West of Ireland. I can often be found at home, deep in arcane research, or practicing some new form of divination whilst burning the dinner! My children probably wish that I was “normal” but may well remember my eccentricities fondly when they come to face the challenges of their own paths. My long knowledge of Astrology leads and informs my practice, in offering guidance, empowerment and healing, helping others to lead a more authentic and magical life. You can read more about me here.
