The ample Cups contain the Water’s flow, for Cold unites disparate kinds as one.
With Wetness they respond and overrun and, yielding, fill the emptiness below. The Queen moves like the Ocean, and relates with Others, drawing nectar from above.
She nurses life with Overflowing love, and gathers food for growth she incubates.
A powerful reading to end this cycle with The Mythic Tarot, where we see the need to relinquish control of all that we have created, in order to allow a new life to emerge for ourselves. After the sense of movement that flowed yesterday, it may feel today as if you are back at square one again, but this time, it is a little different. Trust is the theme today, trust that sitting with your feelings, and allowing the process of emotional understanding to develop deep within you, will ultimately lead to a resolution of the matter. You may be in a situation where you are trying to seek justice, but feel as if you are fighting with shadows, and if this is the case, you may do better to withdraw, and trust that clarity and resolution will come when it is ready. A willingness to go with your feelings, rather than your head, a willingness to trust in the secret workings of the universe, and the ability to let go of that which has offered you security in the past, in order that something new can grow, will give you the clarity that you desire.
This month, inspired by my three week exploration of historical sites in Ancient Mesopotamia, The Daily Oracle this month will be devoted to my exploration of The Mythic Tarot. Published in 1986 by Juliet Sharman-Burke and Liz Greene, the cards are drawn by Tricia Newell. I have loved the ancient greek myths since I was a child, and often use this deck to do readings when I am “stuck” with something for myself. I find the insight to be gentle and direct. The Verses that I have used for each post are the work of the gifted John Opsopaus, whose work can be found HERE
Header art work: Persephone & The Pomegranate by Kris Waldherr. You can read more about her work HERE
My name is Joanna Grant, I am an Astrologer, Tarot Reader and Writer, who lives on the beautiful Beara Peninsula in the South West of Ireland. I can often be found at home, deep in arcane research, or practicing some new form of divination whilst burning the dinner! My children probably wish that I was “normal” but may well remember my eccentricities fondly when they come to face the challenges of their own paths. My long knowledge of Astrology leads and informs my practice, in offering guidance, empowerment and healing, helping others to lead a more authentic and magical life. You can read more about me here.
