How do Tarot & Astrology Work?

What a loaded question, but one that I have probably been asked many more times than “when will I find love!”

The question of how it all works is one that could be discussed from here to eternity, but was probably discussed far less in the past, when our ancestors had a stronger connection to the largely invisible worlds that we share our existence with. It came to me recently, whilst pondering my latest book purchase “The 36 faces” by Austin Coppock. This book is one of those valuable additions to ones library that one obtains on a whim, and which then proceeds to open your mind in radical new ways. This book is described thus:

“There is a thread that runs through over four millennia of astrological and magical history, a cord that binds ancient Egypt with the Hellenistic world, the Arabian empire, India, the European Renaissance and even touches the present.  That thread is the Decans, a division of the earth’s sky into 36 sections.  These 36 ‘Faces of Heaven’ are more than just a curious footnote in the history of archaeo-astronomy. First emerging in ancient Egypt, they have moved with the corpus of Hermetic material, reincarnating in the starry wisdom of culture after culture.”

Since I have purchased this book, I have been researching each of the 36 faces that relate to the cards that I have been drawing, and it has come to my notice that several of the images that have emerged over the last 4 millennia, I have in fact already seen myself, as I have looked into the inner worlds in my search for understanding of the cards. This confirmed for me absolutely that this “unseen” world is “real” in that I have been looking into a world that others have also been looking into for at least the last 4 thousand years. This feels mind-blowing…. but strangely reassuring.

So as I was pondering this phenomena, it came to me that in a very simplified way, I believe that it works in a similar way to the internet!!

You know how when you start searching online for something, using google, or other search engines, that the items that you have been looking for, viewing, or commenting on, seem to appear as if by magic, advertised in other places, and running through your feed on face-book? well, in my opinion it works in just the same way.

For example: I read Tarot on a daily basis, and my intuition is receiving images and messages in a certain way, a way that I feel is dictated by my natal chart. My chart, and the transits that I am experiencing, describes how I operate as a receiver. Other people, who need the kind of receiver that I am, are attracted to my messages, because they are attuned to the Universe in a similar way that I am, in other words, I speak their language. Very often, someone who really resonates with the readings that I do, has planets in their charts which reflect my own, they are reacting to the universe in a similar way as I do, therefore the wisdom that I gain through the Tarot also speaks clearly to them because we are in sympathy.

So if one has a need for a certain experience, even albeit subconsciously, then the message goes out, like typing into the search box on google…. after a few go’s, signs, messages, experiences and people, start popping up all over the place, because the call has gone out. So like the advertisements on face-book, your experiences are tailored to your every need, because you have already looked for them, sent out a request, and the universe is presenting you with the opportunities that you need. People, readings situations are all attracted to you because that is what you are looking for…..it may be a scary thought, but one that interests me intensely.
