For those of you who like to lay cards to help focus the Full Moon energy, I have designed this spread from a consideration of the energies of The New Libra Moon that fell on October 16th 2020, and the Full Libra Moon that falls on March 28th 2021.
The seeding New Moon in Libra, that took place on the 16th October 2020 ,spoke of the balance required to navigate the storms of life, the inner certainty that we need if we are to remain steadfast amidst the curve balls that life frequently throws at us……
KEYNOTE: The ability to develop, for inner strengthening, new modes of response to basic life situations.

Shuffle your chosen deck, and focus on what has been occurring for you in the last 6 months. Think of any situations where you have felt afraid, desperate or controlled, and consequently have withdrawn and developed an “inward focus” in order to try and deal with this better. What remains uppermost in your experiences, what truths may need to be exposed? Draw 5 cards:
- Card 1: What internal “dilemmas” have I had to face under the current “pandemic rules”?
- Card 2: What have I had difficulty “letting go of” in order to follow the protocols?
- Card 3: What internal authority can I call on to help me through this period?
- Card 4:What fears threaten to overwhelm me as I move forward?
- Card 5: What important personal truths have been revealed during in the process?
For Card 1, the realm of life can be seen by the element of the card. Card 3 could be an ongoing measure that you can employ to make sure that things remain on course. Card 4 is likely to show an understanding of your own personal dilemmas that you have faced in the last six months, and how this colours your expectation of future experiences. Card 5 will be the lesson of the phase, a core concept or mandala that you can employ in the future to assist you in remembering what you have learned.

The three cards that I have associated with this phase, The Two of Wands (Sun in the first decan of Aries) The Two of Swords (Moon in the first decan of Libra) and The Emperor (Aries) reflect the current astrological energy in the skies. The numerical values of the three cards adds to 8, the number of Major Arcana card “Adjustment” which is itself associated with Libra. The sign of Libra is ruled by the planet Venus, which is in conjunction with the Sun in the sign of Aries at the point of Full Moon.
Venus is not at home in Firey Aries, and her position here seems to speak volumes about conditions at the present time, illuminating the fact that so many of the things that give as sustenance, joy and pleasure, are currently restricted, and that many of us are spending much more time alone in an unnatural and solitary state, or mixing only with a very few people.

Recognising the key truths that have been revealed when we have been faced with an intense period of difficult circumstances can be a challenging thing, perhaps driving us to find strengths that we never knew we had, or bringing us to desperate places.
KEYNOTE: The need to return to source during a confused search for new value in a chaotic society.
