Sagittarius Full Moon Lunar Eclipse-May 26th “Divine Inspiration”

The mind is everything. What you think you become.

  Buddha

Sagittarius travels through varied physical and mental landscapes in its search for meaning in life, and is noted for its love of study or long-distance travel in order to expand consciousness. Often interested in religion, philosophy and the workings of law and government, there is often an enduring pursuit for a strong sense of faith and meaning. With this comes the tendancy for dogma, as the desire to believe in something may lead to firm convictions that are magically replaced by something new some time later. Generally optimistic and positive with boisterous energy levels and a restless independence, the Sagittarian type keeps going towards the goal of understanding, as it eschews the confines of ordered living and conventional attachments, even if only for a short time.

The Full Moon in Sagittarius perfects on May 26th in the first decan of the sign and is the culmination of a cycle that started in December last year.

The seeding New Moon in Sagittarius, that took place on the 12th December 2020 ,spoke of the need to separate from some burden or obligation that you may have been carrying, but which had become too heavy, too cumbersone, too outdated. Although these things may have been precious, well invested and loved, the processes of the last six months may well have revealed that your soul’s demands have meant that you have found yourself suddenly lighter and freer in a way that you may have yearned for in the past, but now in some way regret, although intuitively it is likely to feel as if it is the right thing.

As we reach this Full Moon, the culmination of this six month cycle, I find myself studying the card associated with this decan, different images of which I have given below. The Eight of Wands, or Fire 8, as it is called in The Oracle of Change is about discovering a new way, a path to release you from the last six months of heaviness and stagnation, a path that can guide you rapidly towards new pastures.

This Full Moon is also a Lunar Eclipse, belonging to an eclipse series which has an association with sudden flashes of inspiration, prophetic dreams, visions and prophecy. Giving clear insight and direction to the native, this eclipse offers the opportunity to illuminate the potential for finding a balance of power, either in relationships, external situations, or within. You may well discover that being on the same page as yourself, funny as it may sound, will actually help to resolve any difficulties in your relationships with others, whilst assisting you in making the choices which you are currently facing. The power of this Full Moon Eclipse guides us toward relaxing into what has been happening, accepting the direction that we find ourselves moving in, and to connect with the divine providence that guides us….. accepting that we are exactly where we are meant to be, on the open road, heading towards our destination.

“The new creation, freed from the centre of the enigmatic cube has expressed what had seemed before to be an impossibility, showing her that the seeds of possibility can lie in the most inaccessible of places. She finds that she is the archer that holds the bow, the connection that will deliver those seeds, to bring them into manifestation.
She watches the glowing effervescence of the crystal as it captures the light around it, refracting and transforming it into the myriad colours of the rainbow and sees how letting go of the need to solve the cube, allowed her to find the secret that lay within its heart. The beauty that she had dreamed of is right there, and it happened easily and quickly, without effort, through accepting the strength of her contact with the divine.”
